The Banting’s Philosophy

Banting’s is a locally owned family nursery that has been a focal part of New Orleans’s horticultural scene since 1960. In 2014 Banting’s expanded to the Northshore and opened its second location just outside of Mandeville in Lacombe.

With the largest array of plants, shrubs, and trees along with a staff with over 200 combined years of experience, we love to talk about plants as much as we like to sell them. We have a farm-like philosophy, we rise early, and work late, and are open seven days a week to help our customers shop at their convenience.

Our team is made up of horticultural specialists and environmentalists that understand that our products are to be enjoyed by the people that buy them and admired by those who see them. We’ll show you how to make your home beautiful and simultaneously attract natures’ friends, such as butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.
